Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Oct. 13, 1923 Completion of the new branch of the Northeastern Oklahoma Railway, connecting Miami, Okla., with Columbus and Pittsburg, was celebrated at Columbus yesterday. The celebration on the south side of the square was attended by about 1,000 persons. Bands from Miami, Picher and Columbus added to the festivities.
