Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 Years Ago Oct. 4, 1923 Pittsburg is receiving nationwide publicity this week through a half-page advertisement in the Saturday Evening Post, in which views of the auditorium of the Pittsburg Senior High School are shown. The advertisements point out the “passing of the town hall” in favor of the modern school auditorium. The advertisement is for American Seating Co. of Chicago which furnished the seats for the auditorium.
