25 years ago July 15, 2001 Pittsburg taxpayers dodged a bullet Monday night when the Pittsburg City Commission decided against raising city property taxes by a mill. The city's taxpayers still might run for cover, however an impending $400,000 cut in state funding to Crawford County might mean as much as a two-mill increase in the county's property tax levy for 2002.
