100 Years Ago Dec. 28, 1922 The consumption of alcoholic liquor in Pittsburg has enjoyed a steady increase, according to the annual report of Ross Armstrong, chief of police. The arrests this year on charges of intoxication have reached a total of 290, an increase of 87 over last year's record of 203 with several days in the present year yet to go. The year 1920 netted only 141 arrests for intoxication.
