The Pittsburg football team closes out its run of three straight games on the road to start the season with a trip Friday night to Altamont to face unbeaten Labette County. The Purple Dragons (1-1) and the Grizzlies (2-0) start at 7 p.m. from Lucas Field. Pittsburg lost 35-6 last week against Class 6A school Shawnee Mission South, stung by four turnovers (three fumbles, one interception) and junior starting quarterback Christian Krogen leaving the game due to injury.
