GIRARD, Kan. — Pittsburg’s 12 and under All-Star Little League team appeared before the Crawford County Commission on Friday to petition for funds to cover travel expenses as the team is headed to Indianapolis next week for the little league national championship. The team, five from USD 250 and five from St. Mary’s-Colgan, has been going door-to-door since Wednesday collecting money for their trip to Indiana. Commissioner Tom Moody wished them luck and said he hopes they do better than his team did when he was in school.
