Pittsburg dominated both sides of the ball in the second half and scored all 13 points after halftime to earn a 22-15 win Friday night over Fort Scott at historic Hutchinson Field. The Purple Dragons put together consecutive bruising scoring drives in the third quarter and their defense forced Fort Scott to punt twice, stopped a third drive on downs and Malakai Meadows’ second interception of the game sealed the Dragons’ victory late in the fourth. “I credit our coaches to get us back to simplicity,” Pittsburg coach Josh Lattimer said.
