William Boyd Brooks, 99, of Pittsburg, Kansas passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg, Kansas. He was born on March 28, 1926, in Fort Scott, Kansas to George and Fern (Gaither) Brooks. Following graduation from Fort Scott High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and went through boot camp in Farragut, Idaho.
