Joyce Marie Cameron, born Jan. 25, 1949, in Girard, Kansas, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, in Olathe, Kansas. Her life was a testament to love, kindness, and a deep appreciation for the simple beauties of the world around her.
Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend who found immense joy in traveling, cultivating plants & tending to her flowers. She loved spending cherished moments with her family and friends, creating memories that will forever be treasured by those who knew her.
She is lovingly remembered by her sons, William Cameron and his wife Amanda, and Keith Cameron, who carry forward her spirit through their own families. Her granddaughter, Natalie Cameron, continues to shine as a living reminder of Joyce’s enduring legacy. Joyce's family circle was further enriched by her brothers, Tom Crandon and Chuck Crandon, along with several nieces and nephews who all hold her memory dear.
Joyce’s life was marked by the profound loss of her beloved husband, Herb Cameron, and her sisters Kay Kennedy and Carolyn Morrison, as well as her brother Richard Crandon, all of whom she holds in her heart.
The community is invited to pay their respects and remember Joyce during a visitation on June 5, 2026, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, located at 14275 S. Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at the same location starting at 3:00 PM, where friends and family will gather to honor and celebrate Joyce’s remarkable life.
Joyce Marie Cameron’s legacy of warmth, dedication, and love of life and family leaves a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
