Doris 'Elaine' Walker, 95, of Pittsburg KS., passed away peacefully Saturday, April 15, 2023, at Girard Medical Center. Elaine was born Sept. 26, 1927, at home in Arma, KS to Lucy (Buset) and Mike Merciez. On Dec. 17, 1950, she was united in marriage to Dempsey Logan Walker, and the two eventually settled in Independence, KS, where they raised their two children, Beverly and Michael.
