GIRARD, Kan. — Crawford County Sheriff Billy Tomasi asked representatives from Enterprise Fleet Management to appear before the county commission on Tuesday concerning the cost of maintaining their program with the Sheriff’s Office. Enterprise representative Ken Olson, senior account executive with Enterprise, explained that the previous sheriff entered an equity lease model to replace and maintain the department’s cruisers. Under the provisions of the model, an organization can lease vehicles for a predetermined amount of time before selling those vehicles on the open market.
