PITTSBURG, Kan. — On Monday morning, Pittsburg Community Theatre announced the four shows – “The Play that Goes Wrong,” “Disney’s Descendents,” “Forbidden Broadway,” and “A Christmas Story The Musical” – they will present for 2023 in addition to its summer workshop “Junior Starz.” With rehearsals already underway, “The Play that Goes Wrong,” directed by Tony Sanchez will be the first play of the season and performances are set to be at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 24 and Saturday March 25 and 2 p.m. Saturday March 25 and Sunday March 26 at Memorial Auditorium. Sanchez said he wanted to start the season with a comedy and he got the idea from the late Greg Shaw, who was the Pittsburg High School Theatre teacher. Shaw said the stage is a character in itself and he is excited to see the audience react to the surprises in the play.
