GIRARD, Kan. — Jamine Kyle and Sabina Brackett of the SEK Humane Society returned to the County Commissioners on Friday after speaking at Pittsburg’s City Commission meeting on Tuesday. Kyle and Brackett met with city leaders later in the week to discuss possibilities despite some vocal opposition at the meeting about using tax revenue to fund the facility. One misgiving the city had, according to Kyle, was the humane society being seen as a competitor to the city’s own animal control.
