PITTSBURG, Kan. — For the past 18 months, workers with Hoefer Custom Stained Glass have been diligently and carefully disassembling, cleaning, rebuilding, and reinstalling the stained-glass windows at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Company owner Scott Hoefer said replacing the windows is not a quick and easy task. Some of the glass is over 100 years old, much of it covered in smoke residue from candles and other flammable consumables.
