PITTSBURG, Kan. –– Growing up near Girard, Heather Horton helped her parents at their family restaurant before going on to earn a bachelor’s degree in commercial art and a master’s in communication, both from Pittsburg State. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Roger Horton. Horton shared her story, Thursday, at the Pittsburg Public Library’s regular Cup o’ Conversation.
