PITTSBURG, Kan. — Students in the Pittsburg State University Social Work Program presented the final results of their individual projects during the PSU Social Work Program Community Project Showcase on Wednesday afternoon. Not only were students given the task to create the concept and implement a project that would impact a community, they were also responsible for creating a timeline, budget, and news release, as well as developing a social media presence and writing a short pitch about the project. The only guidelines for the project were that it had to address an unmet need or address a social issue.
