PSU professor leads four decades of jazz

PITTSBURG, Kan. — After 45 years of teaching the music at Pittsburg State University and managing the annual Jazz Festival, Professor of Music Robert Kehle will be conducting his last performance for the PSU Jazz Ensemble next month and retiring at the end of the school year. Kehle was born and raised in Washington and attended Washington State University for his undergraduate degree. After graduating, he took a year off from school to work as a custodian in addition to playing the trombone in the Spokane Symphony Orchestra.
