PARSONS, Kan. — An explosive device was allegedly found in a residential area of Parsons on Thursday, which happened to be exactly one month after an improvised bomb was allegedly detonated in a dumpster behind the local courthouse. On Thursday, Sept. 15, a citizen called the Parsons Police Department and reported a suspicious object in the 2700 block of Dirr Ave. in Parsons. Officers that arrived on scene tested the device with an explosive field-testing kit and the result was a positive for explosive material.
