PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg officially has an arts district. City commissioners heard Tuesday from Crista Cunningham, president of the Pittsburg ArtWalk Association, about why the city needs such a district. Cunningham said downtown Pittsburg in recent years has become the “heart of art” as the number public murals and artists visiting the area has increased.
