PITTSBURG, KS— After establishing the council in 2022 and leading the Pittsburg ArtWalk committee for years, Pittsburg Arts Council (PAC) Founding Board Member and President Crista Cunningham is leaving her position. “Stepping away from PAC has not been an easy decision,” Cunningham said in a release. “This work has been a huge part of my heart for the past several years, and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together.” In addition to establishing PAC, Cunningham also secured PAC’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status, established the boundaries for the Pittsburg Arts District, expanded ArtWalk events, created a Virtual ArtWalk during the COVID-19 pandemic and advocated for growing the art scene in the community during her seven years on the ArtWalk committee and arts council.
