Parsons breaks ground on new reactor
Officials from Deep Fission and Labette County ceremoniously break ground on a new nuclear reactor to be built inside the old ammunition plant outside of Parsons on Tuesday. Buried more than a mile underground, the reactor’s design is a break from traditional construction, saving time and money, according to Deep Fission founder Liz Muller.
