PITTSBURG, Kan. — Many long-time residents of Pittsburg and the surrounding area have fond memories of Ramsay’s Department Store on the 600 block of North Broadway. Some of the most prominent being the white shopping bags decorated with purple flowers and the distinctive fragrance that greeted customers as they walked through the front doors. Ramsay’s Department Store was a fixture in the community for more than a century.
