GIRARD, Kan. — It’s December, and that means holiday lights and nativity scenes everywhere. Kicking off the holiday season in Girard, in addition to its Winter Wonderland Festival and Parade on Thursday, Dec. 4, is the Girard History Museum’s “Nativity Nights” event, scheduled to start Tuesday, Dec. 2. The nativity display features nativity scenes on loan by various community members, located within the 1888, 137-year-old St. John's Episcopal Church on the corner of Summit and Buffalo Streets.
