GIRARD, Kan. — The City of Girard is about to take a closer look at water lines. At their regular meeting, Tuesday, the City Council heard from Girard Public Works Director Jackie Messer, who informed the council of his department’s undertaking of the Lead Service Line Inventory (LSLI). “Everybody’s heard of Flint Michigan, and the lead, copper issues that it created,” he said.
