Frontenac officials anxious to begin library construction

FRONTENAC, Kan. — Monday’s city council meeting in Frontenac started off adopting two resolutions concerning taxes and budget. With the first resolution, the council approved keeping the city’s mill rate at 49.434, which will exceed the revenue neutral rate and add approximately $78,000 to the city’s coffers over last year’s revenues. The city also approved a resolution adopting the 2023 budget.
