EaglePicher to pay bonds early
EaglePicher
PITTSBURG, Kan. — In February of last year, the Pittsburg City Commission approved a funding agreement with Eagle Picher to build a new manufacturing facility near the Pittsburg State campus. The project was funded by the city through general obligation bonds at an estimated total cost, including bonds, interest, and fees, of approximately $8 million. Eagle Picher and its parent company, Tuthill Corporation, guaranteed the bonds, meaning no taxpayer money was used for construction.
