GIRARD, Kan. — On Friday, Judge Jennifer Brunetti of the 11th Judicial District notified the Crawford County Commission of the need to replace one attorney and hire two more for Child-In-Need-of-Care (CINC) cases. Brunetti, who has already notified the commission of this issue, appeared to discuss the commission’s options going forward. Currently, there are three attorneys under contract to represent parents and children and one of those attorneys, Mark Fern, is set to retire at the end of the month, after 20 years.
