GIRARD, Kan. — The Crawford County Commission has renewed its contract with the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and Explore Crawford County. As the county approaches nearly 40 years of partnering with the Pittsburg Chamber and Explore Crawford County, Chamber President Blake Benson came before the commissioners Tuesday to request renewal of the contract. “As we have done every year since 1987, I believe, so right at 40 years it’s hard to believe, we have come to you and asked for consideration of renewal of the agreement between the county and Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce in support of Explore Crawford County, some folks still remember it as the Crawford County Convention and Visitors Bureau, or the CVB,” said Benson.
