CHEROKEE, Kan. — The Cherokee Ruritan Club and Priestly-Ridley American Legion Post 35 are preparing for the annual Cherokee Fall Festival, a weekend full of community pride and celebration. It is shaping up to be an exciting weekend in Cherokee with Lancer Football kicking off the season at home at 7 p.m. on Friday along with the start of this year’s Fall Festival on the same day, beginning hours before the first whistle. Opening this year’s Cherokee Fall Festival is a tractor pull at the Cherokee Tractor Pull Grounds, starting at 1 p.m.
