FARLINGTON, Kan. — Throughout the month of September, the Crawford County Conservation District is holding a challenge to community members, seeing how many pollinator species can be documented at Crawford State Park. Referred to as “Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz,” organized by the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA), experts were on hand at Crawford State Park Wednesday morning and afternoon, assisting those interested while also supporting the project. “We are participating in a national BioBlitz where the state park (Crawford State Park/Farlington Lake) is our geographical boundary for our team and basically, we are providing some information and trivia what pollinators are, why they are important, how you can help them,” said Crawford County Conservation District Manager Mindy Goble.
