PITTSBURG, Kan. — Last week, Pittsburg Police Department handled a slight uptick in calls for service and officer self-initiated activities. From April 21 to 27, the department responded to 337 calls for service; an 8 percent increase compared to the previous week. Officers also engaged in 174 self-initiated activities, which was a 25 percent increase.
