PITTSBURG, Kan. — The Pittsburg Municipal Airport hosted an open house on Wednesday to launch their new construction project. Construction is to begin after the July 4 holiday and is expected to be completed by late fall. The plan is to expand the parking apron to allow for larger personal jets and safer passage between parked and taxiing aircraft, according to Brian Coomes, a civil engineer and project manager for Olsson.
