ARMA, Kan. — The Arma City Library’s food pantry has shifted its schedule to one day per week, which became effective earlier this month. While Arma City Library Director Shelley Corley could not make it to Monday night’s Arma City Council meeting, a report was handed out to councilmembers detailing activities, community efforts, and facility updates throughout the month of December as well as early November. When it comes to the food pantry, now open every Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the report stated the pantry is to open on Friday when “there are two staff scheduled, to better serve those in need of the food pantry, but also to simultaneously provide the services, programs, and activities of the library.” The report further said that “there will continue to be ongoing monitoring and evaluation if the needs are adequately being met of those utilizingthe food pantry.
