Activity increases for first responders

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Calls and other activities increased last week for the Pittsburg Police and Fire Departments and for the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office. The Pittsburg Fire Department experienced the largest jump in activities as it reported a 90 percent increase from the week prior. From April 14 to 21, the department responded to 59 incidents, 18 of which were to provide basic life support.
