PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg Parks and Recreation Director Toby Book was presented a check for $10,000 by the staff of Riggs Chiropractic on Friday evening. The funds are to be used for the construction of a new miniature golf course at Four Oaks in Lincoln Park as part of a match amount required for additional grant funding. According to Book, the new course will grant Big Brothers and Big Sisters free admission when the “Bigs” are with their “Littles.” Book said he has reached out to a contractor that specializes in building miniature golf courses to provide an estimate for the construction of a new course.
