Thirty years ago I bought a pocket-size collection of teachings by J. Krishnamurti, a spiritual master and speaker from India. I found it full of compelling insight into what he calls “the art of living.” Consequently, it became full of dogeared pages that I returned to from time to time for solace. On Tuesday, I reread his teaching that most all of us think / hope that there must be something that is absolutely permanent.
