Excerpted stories in Crawford County newspaper archives 100 years ago September 16, 1925 "Saw some beautiful scenery, enjoyed ideal climate and palled around with boyhood friends and relatives, but I'm glad to get back home." That was the way A. Besse, 403 West Jefferson Avenue, expressed himself this morning, on his return from a visit to his boyhood home in St. Etienne, France. His return at 5 o'clock this morning was two months to the day from the time he left, July 16, on a pilgrimage back to the land of his birth, which he forsook 45 years ago for larger opportunities in America.
