My friend Al Ortolani has written a poem titled ‘Twenty-Five Years Ago the Towers Fell’ in which he begins by describing all the changes that have taken place since that day: deaths of parents, marriages of children, travels overseas, rescuing a dog, reconciliation with the church, acquiring new grandchildren, owning the same pickup, selling his kayak, and burying cats.
