PITTSBURG, Kan. — Stephanie Whitely has been a vendor at the Pittsburg Farmers Market for three seasons. She said when she first started there were few vendors and not a lot of foot traffic.
“Today, Saturday mornings look completely different,” Whitely told the Morning Sun. “The pavilion is buzzing with vendors, families, activities, and people coming out specifically to shop local and spend part of their Saturday morning at the market. There is an energy there now that simply wasn’t there a few years ago.”
