Lee Nelson Golf Tourney is on

PITTSBURG, Kan. — Plans are complete for the Fourth Annual Lee Nelson Foundation Golf Tournament on Saturday, June 27, at Four Oaks Golf Course in Pittsburg. The tournament is held in honor of Lee Nelson who taught and coached football, basketball, and track during his career with USD 250. He served 30 years at Pittsburg High School, Community Middle School, and Lakeside Junior High during the 1970s and 1980s.

Event proceeds go to a scholarship in Lee’s name for local high school students and to assist organizations within the USD 250 school district, and beyond, with various needs.

The tournament is a 4-man scramble at $50 per person. This includes access to the driving range, golf cart, 18 holes of golf, lunch, and a social at Lincoln Center.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with coffee, donuts, and bagels served. From 10 to 11:30 a.m., there will be a social hour at Lincoln Center, 710 W 9th Street, with food and a live auction. From 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., there will be contests at the driving range and putting green.

Shotgun start at 12:30 p.m.
