Fort Scott, Kan. — The Fort Scott National Historic Site is taking history into the future. As part of a pilot program, the Fort is the first, and only, national park to incorporate augmented reality (AR) to enhance the experience of touring the location through the National Park Service app downloaded to visitors’ phones. The app goes live on Friday, May 23, and allows visitors to explore the park in a unique way, whether they are physically there or a world away.
