PITTSBURG, Kan. — Music sometimes has the ability to provide comfort that nothing else can compare to, especially for children, which is why a group of individuals and musicians decided to organize a benefit concert at which all the proceeds would be put into a program to provide free music lessons to any child who wishes to learn. This year the Legacy of Music benefit concert will be from noon to midnight Saturday, Sept. 17, at the Crawford County Fairgrounds in Girard. The Legacy of Music Festival had its first show in 2018 with 10 bands divided across two bars in Pittsburg, Jimmy B’s and TJ Leland’s, with a cost of $10.
