GIRARD, Kan. — Kourtney Anthony is a Girard resident who is concerned about safety and police staffing in light of the former police chief Seirra Roberts and former assistant police chief Jeff McDonald resigning from their lead positions in recent months. Last week, Anthony visited with council members during a public forum to share her concerns while asking additional questions regarding city matters. Anthony first had a question regarding the intended use of the city’s half-cent sales tax, which goes towards the police and fire departments.
