PITTSBURG, Kan. — Located just south of the Bourbon County line and a couple miles west of US-69 sits what remains of the historic town of Cato, Kansas. While few residents live in the area today, a group of dedicated people, many with personal ties to the town, have been working hard to keep the memories alive by sponsoring the annual Cato Days in November. According to Susie Stelle, a charter member of the Cato Historical Preservation Association, this year’s events will be held on Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5.
