100 years ago October 7, 1926 Add to Opolis Road Patrol — An additional man has been added temporarily to the 1-man patrol on the roadway between Pittsburg and Opolis, Herbert Ludlow, county engineer reported. Mr. Ludlow explained that this stretch of nine miles of county roadway ordinarily is maintained by one road patrolman, but that the recent heavy rains washed the road badly and necessitated the county employing another man for a time to get the road back in good travel condition.
