PITTSBURG, Kan. — Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for its annual business expo, scheduled for Feb. 28. The deadline to sign up is Monday, Feb. 9.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, local businesses will be set up at Meadowbrook Mall, at 202 Centennial Drive for the Chamber’s 2026 Biz Expo.

Businesses that lean into the theme and decorate their booths are eligible to win awards. The categories are Best Use of Theme, Best of Show, Best Use of Product and Best Themed Costume.

This year’s theme is Stars, Stripes, and Success, which is to highlight America’s 250th anniversary alongside Pittsburg’s 150th.

Chamber Special Events and Membership Director Daisy Flood said the Chamber is excited to celebrate both anniversaries by using a theme that corresponds with both events.

"Our Business Expo is always a great weekend of showcasing area businesses and organizations to the community,” Flood said in an email. “This year we are excited to celebrate the past, present, and future of the Pittsburg area as we celebrate Pittsburg's 150th anniversary. The purpose of the Biz Expo is to show the community what kind of opportunities are right here in our backyard. Some might think you have to travel for job opportunities, retail, or education, but we want to show them that the Pittsburg area is the best of the best."

The cost for booth space is $400 for Chamber members and $500 for non-members. Extra booth space is $200 for members and $250 for non-members. One booth space consists of an 8-by-10 foot draped table with chairs and a company sign.

The 2026 Biz Expo allows businesses to engage with community members, showcase their products or services and answer questions.

Vendors can decorate their booths from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. Booth judging will take place at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27.
