Pittsburg, Kan. — The Pittsburg Area Chamber Foundation will host its annual Golf Classic on Friday, June 2 with a morning shotgun at 8:30 a.m. and afternoon shotgun at 1:30 p.m. The Golf Classic will be held at Crestwood Country Club and is a member and guest event that will feature an 18-hole 4 man scramble.

Firefighters from Parsons, Chanute, Iola, and Frontenac participated in a confined space rescue training. As part of the Kansas Task Force 4, the departments train together to combine their resources and expertise to conduct various rescue operations around the country, according to Pittsburg Fire Chief Taylor Cerne.
