For those curious about local factories, several in the area are celebrating National Manufacturing Day by offering tours to the public.
On Thursday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. community members can tour Avail Enclosures, APEX Stages and Unique Metal Fabrication. Kendal Packaging will host tours from 9 to 11 a.m., and Hix Corporation is allowing tours by appointment all month long. To schedule a tour at Hix, email [email protected].
