Marjorie "Mitzi" Angwin O'Hara died on February 20, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, formerly a resident of San Angelo, Texas.

She was born in Pittsburg, KS, in 1930, a daughter of the late Maynard and Marjorie Coles Angwin. A graduate of Pittsburg High School, Class of 1948, Mitzi attended Baker University, Baldwin City, KS, where she pledged to Phi Mu Sorority. To assist the Phi Mu Sorority, she transferred to assist chapters at the University of Texas and the University of Utah from which she graduated.

James "Jim" Carloss O'Hara died on December 11, 2022, in San Angelo Texas. Jim was born in Princeton, KY, the son of Earnest Warner and Marion Carloss O'Hara in 1928. A graduate of Butler High School, Princeton, KY, Class of 1946, he received his BS degree in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Texas and MS and PhD degrees from Ohio State University.

While attending the University of Texas, Mitzi and Jim met, and they were married in Pittsburg, KS, in 1952, beginning a seventy-year love affair filled with adventure and a unique companionship. Mitzi supported Jim's stellar career in engineering and as a professor at Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, where she served as president of the Tulane University Women's Association. When Jim and Mitzi retired to San Angelo, Texas, they worked as a team to fulfill Jim's dream of building a two-seat, 2/3-scale P-38 airplane. Known as "Rosie the Riveter," Mitzi climbed into her seat behind Jim, who piloted many flights and fly-ins until his death. Their uncommon devotion and bond to each other often meant that their names were combined into "Jim'nMitzi."

As they lived their lives together, their ashes will be inurned on June 7, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Park Cemetery, Pittsburg, with the Rev. Mark Chambers officiating. Online condolences may be left at www.brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary.
