PITTSBURG, Kan. — On Friday, the Kansas Department of Education (KSDE) Child Nutrition and Wellness brought their Farm to Plate program tour to Southeast Kansas.
Thanks to a grant provided by the USDA, KSDE has been traveling to different areas of the state to connect school districts with local food producers. KSDE divided the state into six regions and last year representatives tackled the Northeast, South central and Northwest portions of the state. This year they visited the Southwest and Southeast regions.
